Israel
I have gone to a Jewish school for elemtary and high school. So it was amazing that I was privileged enough to get to visit the land of my people, the land I had been learning about for most of my life so far. I was fortunate enough to go to one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen, Israel, 3 times. The first time was in grade 7, when my friend Jenna Greenberg was going with her family to celebrate her Bat Mitzvah. She got to invite 3 friends, and I was one of the lucky ones chosen.
The second time I went to Israel was when I was 15, with my summer camp, Camp B'nai Brith of Montreal. I was there with all my friends which was so cool. Plus we got to go to Prague for a day before we went to Israel. We didn't stay in very glamorous hotels or eat at the nicest places, but it was one of the most incredible trips I have ever been on. I experienced so much, it was amazing.The third time I went to Israel was with my family, my bubby, grandpa, and my cousins, aunt and uncle. We all were joined with a few other families from Ottawa to celebrate the Bat Mitzvah's of a few of the kids. (I.e.: my younger sister) This was a more of an emotional trip. It was very heartwarming to experience traveling and learning about the land that my people fought so hard for with my family. It was an incredible trip.
